I’m a full service, hands-on Creative Director with over 17 years of experience within the creative and marketing field, 12 of which I have served as a Creative Director. I come from a background of brand building, art direction, design, and creative direction on a cross platform, multi-channel approach. I have built globally recognized campaigns and brands, yet I am not afraid to roll up my sleeves and wear as many hats as necessary to help grow start-ups and small brands. I believe in a DIY approach and will never be the creative who sits back to watch without getting his hands dirty.

My career has allowed me to touch all aspects of client projects, from super bowl spots to packaging and from social channels to custom microsites. I adapt quickly and always lead with a strong, big idea. I’m an approachable, ego-free creative who values hard work and professionalism while maintaining a sense of humor and respect. I take pride in mentoring budding creatives, having grown many young creatives into thriving Creative Directors, and in working collaboratively with everyone on my team.

When I’m not busy with client work, I like to fill my time with art, design, illustration, outdoor life, rock climbing, photography, video, and hanging out with my beautiful wife and pig-like dogs.

RUMPL – BRAND DESIGN DIRECTOR

My role at Rumpl is leading all Creative Direction on integrated campaigns, DTC and wholesale content, trade show experiences, brand story telling, seasonal initiatives, brand development, product positioning, product packaging, and all creative strategies for the company. I am part of the leadership team while also delivering hands-on design and creative, as well as shooting and/or directing content. As a member of a small but growing brand, I have provided innovative solutions to complex problems, often with a DIY approach. Throughout my time at Rumpl, I’ve elevated the content and conceptual creative campaign output, as well as launched an entirely new product line and product features.

KEEN DESIGN DIRECTOR, BRAND CREATIVE

I was hired by the VP of Creative at KEEN to bring my years of agency experience into the internal team and to help build out the internal agency, while working hands-on to fulfill day to day, full service creative needs.

My role at KEEN is similar to my past experiences as a Creative Director, managing and directing a team of art directors, designers, and production artists, as well as partnering with vendors and specialists for cross platform creative development.

While at KEEN, I have worked to identify and implement necessary creative processes, staffed roles that were needed for effective creative deliveries, led creative pitches and campaigns, created cross category communication, set forth seasonal design direction, branded technologies and categories, worked on cross functional projects and design, created a photo process, defined an ownable photo creative approach for KEEN Utility, partnered to tell stories and create rich content, and improved communication within departments.

Good People (formerly known as Famous Interactive) was a digital advertising and marketing agency. I served as creative lead on all projects, pitches, presentations, and everything in between. Working directly with the CEO, Director of Strategy, and Director of Technology, I created innovative experiences, content, and digital campaigns, for Hulu, Ubisoft, and other various entertainment and CPG clients. In addition to leading creative strategy and creative concepting, I spent time hands-on designing, art directing, and writing. My role also involved maintaining client relationships, presenting, pitching, developing company culture, and mentoring up-and-coming creatives.
